Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011

The only televised awards shows to exclusively honor performers. The awards focus on both individual performances as well as on the work of the entire ensemble of a drama series and comedy series, and the cast of a motion picture.

The best actress winner for 'Black Swan' Natalie Portman is totally flaunting that growing bump in this simple white Azzaro column gown, which the awards-show darling had bedazzled with a staggering $2 million worth of Tiffany jewels.

'Glee' sweetheart Dianna Agron hit the red carpet in a very glam, very retro strapless 50s style frock from Chanel haute couture. It looks like a black/navy friendship is going on here, with an ebony sequinned layer over the top of her midnight blue satin dress.

The actress for 'Temple Grandin'  Claire Danes goes ultra-feminine in a sweeping patterned Louis Vuitton with hand-stitched silk flower appliqués. Her printed gown creates a gorgeous hourglass shape, and that ruffled bust and belted waist is a sure fire trick for creating instant curves.

The best supporting actress nominee Amy Adams for 'The Fighter' is ultra-sleek in a curve-skimming Hervé Leroux halter gown. The halter neckline is complemented perfectly with a simple ponytail, while jewels are minimal — just a pair of art deco, jeweled earrings.

The 14-year-old nominee for 'True Grit'  Hailee Steinfeld is a red-carpet standout in her striped gown by Prada. Not the easiest look to pull off, especially with someone so young.

'Dexter' star Julia Stiles is feeling ombre with her navy-to-white, Monique Lhuillier gown. She goes sand a necklace in favour of ornate, vintage-looking earrings, a diamond bracelet, and an amazing purple cocktail ring. Continuing the glamour from the Globes.

Could the 'The Office' Jenna Fischer's dress be any more matronly? And what does she have against going to a tailor? Dull color, ill-fitting, and matronly:  the kiss of death on the red carpet.

After daring to bare at the Golden globes, January Jones of 'Mad Men' ensemble nominee picks an elegant lace Carolina Herrera gown. She completes the look with a superstiff updo that definitely would have fallen flat on anyone else who was not Betty Draper.

Maybe known as the ditzy Brittany S. Pierce  on 'Glee', Heather Morris is breathtaking in a blush silk chiffon strapless gown with rosette bodice from designer Romona Keveza.

The red-carpet newbie, Jennifer Lawrence nominated for 'Winter's Bone', is a standout in a shocking pink Oscar de la Renta dress. Having one too many straps is a bit overwhelming for this red carpet newbie.

Rosario Dawson struts the red carpet lovely in a lemon-cream J. Mendel. The bodice is a simple v-neck, but underneath the beaded waist is an asymmetrical hem that shows off her legs and her metallic Louboutins. What really pops are her bright green pendant earrings — love the pairing with citron yellow.

Amber Riley of 'Glee' got it right in this black ruffled gown by Anne Barge. The full skirt and pleated details around the waist balance her curvy physique.  Blunt bangs and ruby lips completed her look.

Eva Longoria takes the plunge in a skin-baring Georges Hobeika gown. Not her best red carpet look. Looks like the star star has wrapped plain bed sheets around herself.

The night's best actress in a drama winner for 'The Good Wife', Julianna Marguiles wears a ruby Yves Saint Laurent column with a sweetheart neckline and geometric earrings.

The best-actress nominee, Nicole Kidman for 'Rabbit Hole' is feminine in a lace-back Nina Ricci gown. After a slight disappointment at the Golden globes the red carpet darling is stepping up to the plate. Plus, she looks confident and elegant, which should never be underestimated on the red carpet.

'The Fighter's' star Melissa Leo may be celebrating her big win, but her dress by Randi Rahm sure didn't celebrating her figure. Maybe it looked better in her home without the harsh sun and TV lights hitting her at all the wrong angles, but it isn't doing a thing for her on the red carpet.

Angie Harmon is the belle of the ball in this sorbet-pink feathered gown by Monique Lhuillier. A bit borderline on being too much, Too pink, too big, too bridal, and too cotton candy.

The curvaceous ensemble nominee, Sofia Vergara for 'Modern Family' has a perfect fit in this sexy sapphire blue Roberto Cavalli gown. A diamond cuff and free-flowing waves only up the sultry factor, while dramatic eyes and soft pink lips tie it all together.

Jayma Mays in a peach silk chiffon draped front gown with a beaded juliet sleeve by Jenny Packham. Very nice departure for the 'Glee' star from her Emma persona. The nude tones of this dress work surprisingly well on her skin. I like the coordination of the silver detail on the shoulder and her shoes.

The 'Mad Men' ensemble nominee, Christina Hendricks time travels from the '60s to the '70s in a black sequined L'Wren Scott wrap. A departure for the star, who is known for wearing colorful curve-hugging gowns.

The best actress nominee, Annette Bening for 'The Kids Are All Right' in a shaped long evening dress in greenly gold paillette and leather squares featuring a high slit neckline corsage embroidered with crystal stones, matte and shiny sequins from Tony Ward.

Though Leah Michele is nominated for her 'Glee' ensemble work, decided to simplify this time around. In a sleek silver Oscar de la Renta belted gown, loose waves and minimal makeup, the star definitely got the effortless thing going.

Nice try standing out in this Catherine Malandrino Halter one-piece, 'Modern Family' star Julie Bowen. Maybe it would work for a movie premiere, luncheon, or a nice dinner, but this look leaves much to be desired. Pant legs too long and a top that needs work. This doesn't come close to bringing the glitz and glamour.

The best supporting actress nominee, Mila Kunis in a Alexander McQueen gown. The 'Black Swan' star is a head turning gorgeous in this sweeping belted floral-print dress, wavy locks and spot-on makeup.

'The King's Speech' star Helena Bonham Carter always plays by her own rules. She never follows current trends, which tends to land her on every bad dressed list. The actress is known for unique sense of style but she said she consulted a costume designer for her rather classic, black and white ensemble.

The best-actress nominee, Hilary Swank for 'Conviction' looks award winning in a one-shoulder blush Versace with jeweled details. The beaded detail on the bodice and ruching make for an interesting twist, while her big, soft curls add a hint of romance.

Taking a departure from her normally black look the best actress nominee for 30 Rock, Tina Fey looks utterly elegant in a red lace Oscar de La Renta gown. Though normally a hit or miss on the carpet, this look got it out of the park.

Golden Globes 2011

The Golden Globes awards are the fashion precursor to the Oscars. See what your favorite celebrities wore at 2011 edition.

'Love and Other Drugs' star Anne Hathaway jumps on the backless bandwagon. This stunning spangled Armani gown is modern and demure with long sleeves and a high neck. It's when she turns around that you get that movie star moment. Not a normal look for Ms. Hathaway but still a winner.

'Mad Men' star January Jones loves to push the boundaries of fashion, but this bright red peekaboo Versace gown takes things a little too far. Made entirely of flowy fringe with some dangerous cutouts, it's a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

Christina Aguilera hit the red carpet in a Zuhair Murad beaded gown and added Lorraine Schwartz jewels to complete the embellished getup. This could have been a hit for the over-the-top dresser except her cups runneth over.

Dianna Agron, a member of the "Glee" cast, looked delicate and refined in a J. Mendel beige silk chiffon hand-pleated strapless gown. The dress suits her complexion, she seems to glow from within.

It's hard to pick apart someone as perfect as Halle Berry, but that won't stop cutting down her Nina Ricci dress a bit. Her sexy bustier dress with tulle train and funky cuffs looks more suited for a show like the Grammys, not an elegant and glamorous evening at the Golden Globes. Shame Ms. Berry, shame.

Tribal taken too far -- supermodel Heidi Klum picked a psychedelic Marc Jacobs number for the event. Maybe it would work on a dancefloor next to Warhol, but on the red carpet on Klum it looks like a customized kaftan.

Julianne Moore's hot pink Lanvin gown appears to be eating her necklace. And one of her arms. The color is bold, which she does wonderfully, but the shapeless, strangely asymmetrical style is just screaming "worst."

'Gossip Girl' Leighton Meester is no stranger to trying new things, but this blah Burberry Prorsum gown really lets the fashionista down. Muted colors, long sleeves and a very modest slit put this unflattering and un-wowing as a dressed up sister wife.

Lea Michele of “Glee” walked the carpet in a light pink Oscar de la Renta gown. She really raised the bar in this ruffled one-shoulder dress by the designer.

Mandy Moore lit up the carpet in a bold, cobalt blue Monique Lhuillier gown. The tulle, mermaid-style hem adds a princess feel, and the fit is flawless and the vibe feminine but not frothy..

"Rabbit Hole" star Nicole Kidman in this simple, single-shoulder Prada gown really makes me wish for those days long ago when she used to bring the glamour to the red carpet. Now she's in a vanilla piece with a little bow, almost no jewelry and uninspiring hair. It's not the worst out there, but it's certainly not what Nicole is capable of.

The 'Black Swan' star and glowing soon-to-be mom heated up her dress with a Swarovski crystal red rose – front and center! Pink and red together? How unexpected. In this preggers-friendly, empire-waist Viktor & Rolf gown with rose detail, matching clutch and Tiffany jewels. It's the actress's night to shine.

Sandra Bullock looks like she's shying away from the spotlight with her new heavy bangs, looking like she wants to be somewhere else, and the dress that really underwhelms. The pale pink Jenny Packham number tries to wow with crystal detail, but I've come to expect more pizzazz from Sandy.

Yes. we are green with envy! Angelina Jolie, nominated for a Globe for 'The Tourist,' looked smashing in this long-sleeved Atelier Versace beaded gown, no longer in her basic black. Green was the color of the night, and of course Angie was right there leading the pack, the bar has been set for this season. Also had the best accessory of the evening, Brad.

"Glee" gal Amber Riley wowed the crowd in this one-shouldered Oliver Tolentino sequined dress. Dark nails and blunt bangs completed the ensemble. Shows a woman who is not a size 2 can look amazing.

"Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks always looks red hot, while the color flatters her skin, the oversized ruffle near her neck competes too much with her lose hair.

Eva Longoria followed the night's big trend in black, but this classic Zac Posen gown is anything but basic. With a fitted bodice, open back, fluid train and two diamond birds on her belted waist, the 'Desperate Housewives' star is a show-stopper.

'Easy A' star Emma Stone -- who's gone blonde for her upcoming role in 'Spider-Man' -- plays up her lighter locks in a figure-flattering peach Calvin Klein Collection number. The short sleeves and high neckline are perfect on her petite frame. A breathe of fresh air on the carpet.

Can't expect anything less than crazy from 'The King's Speech', Helena Bonham Carter's red carpet looks, but this never gets old. She's sporting her signature wild hair, a mess of a Vivienne Westwood dress and, mismatched shoes. Thanks for keeping things interesting and being an individual.

Nominated for best supporting actress in TV series, miniseries or made-for-TV movie for her role in "Dexter," Julia Stiles was Old Hollywood glamour in this one-shouldered dress. And her curly bob hairstyle and pink lipstick rounded out her glamorous look.

'The Client List" star Jennifer Love Hewitt has another red carpet miss in an icy pale blue Romona Caveza gown with a fussy flyaway top and a too-high hairdo. The only hint of color comes by way of a too-orange spray tan.

'Modern Family' beauty Sofia Vergara struts her stuff in sexy red on the red carpet. This belted and sashed Vera Wang gown shows off her fine figure, and the lace-up detail in back takes those covetable curves from wow to va-va-voom.

'House' star Olivia Wilde shines in this strapless princess Marchesa gown, with a generous spray of gold sequins dazzling on chocholate brown tulle. No additional jewels were needed but updo would have taken it to the next level.

Michelle Williams gets hippy chic ... minus the chic. The 'Blue Valentine' star's flower power Valentino number, blooming with daisies on the neutral nude fabric, is a little too garden party and not enough Golden Globes. Disappointed, Michelle has done better.

We can usually count on Jennifer Lopez to bring some fierce divaliciousness. Her bright white Zuhair Murad dress was a shining example on an otherwise dark red carpet, with the silk chiffon draping and the sheer sparkle tulle capelet.

'Black Swan' actress Mila Kunis underscored her dark beauty in a one-shoulder green gown by Vera Wang. It's grown-up glam and she totally owns it!

Catherine Zeta-Jones was to die for in a stunning emerald green Monique Lhuillier strapless gown, that compliments her skin and hair beautifully. The strapless dress definitely leans towards the more elaborate side, but it fits Catherine's elegant style.
